SUBSTANCE: image forming apparatus includes a recording control unit configured to record the scaling position, taken before beginning of the function for temporary change of the scaling position, as a first position; a scaling control unit configured to perform control so as to move the scaling position from the first position to a second position when said function begins, and from the second position to the first position when said function is completed, and a control unit configured to perform control, when the scaling position is located in the second position, through said function, not to make changes according to a command for changing a specific capture setting.

EFFECT: preventing inadvertent capturing in cases when a transient image is displayed in a scaling position which is different from the angle of view for capturing.
