SUBSTANCE: invention relates to electronic image capturing devices, and more specifically to means of displaying modes of operation of such devices. Result is achieved by the fact that the electronic device includes: a control unit configured to control such that counting of the self-timer starts in response to the recording instruction of the still image, and shooting of still image is performed in response to self-timer timer expiration, and control such that counting of self-timer starts in response to moving image recording instruction, and moving image recording starts in response to self-timer timer expiration; and a display control unit configured to control such that the first countdown item is displayed during the self-timer timer counting in response to the still image recording instruction, and control such that second countdown item is displayed during counting of self-timer in response to moving image capturing instruction.
EFFECT: technical result is providing a means of notifying a user of parameters of a functional operation performed during countdown during shooting in self-timer mode.
