SUBSTANCE: device has: first, second and third panels connected to each other, wherein the first panel has a first display surface, the second panel has a second display surface, the third panel has a third display surface; a sensor for detecting relative orientation of the first panel to the second panel; and a processor which responds to the sensor, for detecting the device configuration, wherein the processor is configured to adjust the user interface displayed on the first display surface, the second display surface and the third display surface, based on the detected device configuration, wherein the processor is adapted to adjust the operating mode of the application software based on the detected device configuration, wherein said detected device configuration is one of said at least three predetermined device configurations.

EFFECT: broader capabilities owing to adjustment of the operating mode of the application software based on the detected device configuration based on assembly thereof.
