SUBSTANCE: in a system where a plurality of electronic devices are connected via digital audio transmission lines based on the S/PDIF standard or the like, quick and easy update of software is made possible even if the electronic devices are not provided with a broadcast reception function, a network connection function and the like. A television is connected to an audio/video amplifier via an S/PDIF line. The television is provided with: a tuner which acquires update data used for updating software in the audio/video amplifier; and an S/PDIF terminal which transmits the acquired update data to the audio/video amplifier via the S/PDIF line. The audio/video amplifier is provided with a controller which updates the software in the audio/video amplifier with the update data transmitted by the television.
EFFECT: high efficiency of updating software of an electronic device.
