SUBSTANCE: when the display screen is in a first orientation relative to a user, information is presented on the display screen in a first format; if an indication is received that the display screen is in a second orientation, different from the first orientation, information is presented on the display screen in a second format. The first and second formats include information objects which are either not present or have different relative positions in the other of the first and second formats, and the arrangements of said information objects relative to each other vary based on whether the handheld device is in a first orientation or the second orientation.
EFFECT: optimising use of the available region of the display screen.
