FIELD: agriculture.
SUBSTANCE: invention refers to livestock sector, namely to the field of animal feeding. The method for growing calves includes adding a humic agent from peat into the ration. The peat is treated with a 1.0% solution of water ammonia and 1.75% solution of hydrogen peroxide at the ratio of 1:5:5 while heated to 140°C. The produced substance on the basis of peat is applied daily once per day in the dose of 15-50 ml of the 1% solution by humic acids. In animals with anaerobic enteric infection, the humic agent from the peat is applied on the background of etiotropic therapy once per day in the dose of 40-50 ml until total disappearance of clinical symptoms of the disease.
EFFECT: stimulation of immune resistance of calves, including newborn animals.
