FIELD: physics.
SUBSTANCE: accelerometer having a sensitive element, an angle sensor whose output is connected to one of the inputs of a carrier frequency generator, a negative feedback which is realised from the output of a clocked JK flip-flop to the input of a torque sensor through a pair of triggered synchronous generators which are connected in series by their data inputs, an asynchronous RS flip-flop, a precision relay element whose output is connected to the input of the torque sensor, two emitter followers, two bidirectional binary counters, three binary multipliers as well as an additional amplifier, a nonlinear element and a filter with a transfer function (where T1 is the time constant of the filter, s is the Laplace operator), wherein the input of the additional amplifier is connected to the output of the angle sensor and the output is connected to the input of the first emitter follower through the nonlinear element (amplifier with saturation) and the filter.
EFFECT: accelerometer operates in self-oscillation mode and the measured acceleration is proportional to a digital code which does not depend on dynamic properties of the device, which increases accuracy and widens bandwidth.
