SUBSTANCE: method for face detection independently on orientation includes generation of multiple mosaic images on the basis of an inlet image, which have different scale, using multiple variously oriented detectors of contours for detection of controus in multiple mosaic images, including combination of contours of multiple mosaic images, having different scales, and face detection in areas that correspond to specified variously oriented detectors of contours, on the basis of appropriate criteria maps created by specified variously oriented detectors of contours. Besides, a device and a machine-readable data medium are disclosed, which correspond to the proposed method.

EFFECT: provision of face detection independently on orientation, provision of quickness and reliability of face detection.
