FIELD: physics.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to access security or fraudulent access detection owing to; identification by user authentication or authorization, namely to authentication system for mobile data terminal. For this, the authentication system comprises a data terminal with a terminal data device formed by a clock, a communication network and an authentication service, comprising a face detection and face recognition module and a database, in which user reference data are stored. Terminal data device comprises an image capturing device, an image processing module and a wireless communication interface. Besides, through the communication network, between the terminal data device and the authentication service the first communication connection is performed. in addition, the authentication service comprises 2D/3D image analysis module, communication interface is made in the form of a long-range interface and additionally in the form of a short-range interface, and a near-action interface is unidirectional. System also includes a point of sale, in which terminal authentication device may initiate an authentication request, and by means of a communication interface made in form of a short-range interface, a short-range data connection with a corresponding remote station of a sales point can be established. Besides, authentication service includes interface, through which additional connection with point of sales is performed.

EFFECT: high security and reliability of authentication by providing an authentication result through a route device independent of the initiating authentication.
