SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the method and device for attenuation of anticipated echo signals in a digital sound signal produced by coding through conversion, at the same time when decoding for a current frame of the specified digital sound signal the method includes a stage of detection (CONC) of a logically bracketed signal on the basis of at least a reproduced signal of a current frame, a division stage (DIV, 301) of the specified logically bracketed signal into subblocks of samples of certain length, a calculation stage (ENV, 302) of a time envelope of a logically bracketed signal, a detection stage (DETECT, 304) of transition of a time envelope into a zone of high energy, a detection stage (DETECT, 304) of subblocks of low energy that precede to the subblock, where the transition was detected, and an attenuation stage (ATT) in certain subblocks. The method is performed to do attenuation by an attenuation ratio calculated for each of the specified subblocks, depending on a time envelope of a logically bracketed signal and a time envelope of a reproduced signal of a previous frame.

EFFECT: higher efficiency of decoding with attenuation of anticipated echo signals.
