SUBSTANCE: method to manufacture a biaxially textured substrate for high-temperature thin-film superconductors provides for performance of the following stages: A) production of a billet made of a triple alloy of the system Ni-W-Cr, composition of which is inside the area on a phase diagram Ni-W-Cr, limited with a triangle ABC with top coordinates, at.%: (A) Ni89.5 W3.0 Cr7.5, (B) Ni88.5 Cr11.5 and (C) Ni85 Cr15; B) cold rolling of this billet to produce a tape; and C) annealing of the produced tape at the temperature from 900 to 1200°C with the heating rate to the annealing temperature from 10 to 20°C/sec.

EFFECT: invention makes it possible to increase content of cubic texture and to provide hardness on its surface.
