FIELD: electricity.
SUBSTANCE: for a system of an ion accelerator with an electrostatic accelerating field between a cathode lying on a mass potential and an anode lying on a high-voltage potential and with gas supply, it is suggested to introduce an insulator body with open pores into gas supply permeable for gas. Besides, a description is given for a stand suitable for such system of an ion accelerator, and the stand is designed for corona discharges of insulation of other structural elements of the high-voltage insulator system lying on high voltage with such an insulator body.
EFFECT: increased resistance of high-voltage insulation.
