FIELD: machine building.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to plasma sources and, in particular, to electric rocket engines. Plasma source working medium supply unit, installed on the gas-discharge chamber, is made in the form of a structured porous partition from alternating interconnected at least two rows consisting of identical bodies of revolution, with spherical element on mutually located sides. One row facing charged particle acceleration system is made of dielectric material, and the next row is installed with an offset, providing installation by contact or at a distance of its spherical part, in the cavity formed by three connected spherical elements of the previous row is made of emission material and is connected to a power supply source.
EFFECT: reduced time of plasma source start-up and increased coefficient of working medium utilization.
