FIELD: electrical engineering.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to a high-voltage bushing insulator (1) comprising an insulating body (4) arranged coaxially around a cylindrical winding base (2) from the electrically conductive material, and a sealing device for sealing the gap between the winding base (2) and the insulating body (4). At that, the sealing device includes a sealing element (8) in a closed sealing groove (7). Invention is characterized in that the closed sealing groove is located in a winding base and accommodates a sealing element. In addition, invention relates to a method of a high-voltage bushing insulator (1) manufacturing comprising an insulating body arranged coaxially around a cylindrical winding base from the electrically conductive material with insulating layers (51) arranged coaxially with one another, at which in the closed sealing groove in the winding base a sealing element (8) is placed, and then the insulating body (4) is impregnated with resin so, that the gap between the winding base and the insulating body is sealed.
EFFECT: invention provides simplicity and economy in the manufacture of insulator.
