FIELD: chemistry.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to production of platinum metal compounds, particularly a method of producing palladium (II) on the surface of a support. The method involves reaction of palladium nitrate solution with NO by passing nitrogen (II) oxide into palladium nitrate solution until the end of the release of a precipitate of a nitrate-nitrosyl compound of palladium at temperature of (15-40)°C in the presence of perchloric acid in amount of (0.5-10)% of the molar amount of palladium in the solution. The precipitate is then filtered and dissolved in water. Palladium is then sorbed on a support. The obtained material is dried and heated at temperature of (290-600)°C.
EFFECT: invention improves the method and increases stability of the obtained palladium (II) oxide on the surface of the support.
