FIELD: chemistry.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to equipment for treating fat-containing waste water and can be used at meat-processing plants, at public catering places for separating emulsions at temperature of 5-40°C. The apparatus has a cylindrical housing 1 with a coaxially lying hollow shaft 2, a perforated plate 4 on which an adsorbent 5 is placed, a cover 6 with holes for feeding the adsorbent, a pipe 8 for outlet of spent adsorbent, an overflow pipe 9, a bottom 10 with a pipe 11 for outlet of clarified liquid. A nozzle 3 for feeding contaminated liquid is placed perpendicular to the shaft 2 and is in form of tubes whose ends are bent at a right angle in a direction opposite the rotation of the shaft 2 through energy of the liquid flowing out of the nozzle. The length of the nozzle 3 increases from top downwards. Spent adsorbent is removed during rotation of the shaft 2 which is driven by an electric motor.
EFFECT: invention enables to intensify the waste water treatment process and reduce power consumption with maximally possible use of the adsorbent and bring food industry effluent in line with discharge regulations.
