FIELD: chemistry.
SUBSTANCE: present invention relates to production of biodegradable polymers. Described are biodegradable copolymers of styrene and polyangelicalactone, which are characterised by that they are styrene which is modified with polyangelicalactone which contains polyester inter-link bonds, with the following ratio of fragments, wt %: polyangelicalactone 0.1-20; styrene - the balance.
EFFECT: obtaining a polymer based on styrene and polyangelicalactone, which is biodegradable, has low water-absorption and cost of production.
