FIELD: radio engineering, communication.
SUBSTANCE: scattering device has a microstrip antenna for picking up radiation from an operating radiation source. The device converts the radiation to an electric current and consumes it through operation of a thermal, mechanical or electrical device. The microstrip antenna has several series-connected meander segments. One or more meander segments have fractures with angles differing from 90° by less than 5°, and one or more meander segments have fractures with angles differing from 90° by more than 5°. The meander segments have different angles which improve absorption of undesirable electromagnetic radiation of a cellular telephone by the antenna. The method of reducing the effect of undesirable electromagnetic radiation of an operating radiation source involves receiving electromagnetic radiation from the radiation source using the microstrip antenna which converts the received electromagnetic radiation to an electric current and feeding the current into an energy-consuming unit.
EFFECT: reduced effect of undesirable electromagnetic radiation.
