FIELD: physics.
SUBSTANCE: compact circularly polarised antenna with a spread frequency band is proposed, in which a circularly polarised emitter 21 lies over a conducting screen of defined size, and consists of a set of N segments 21a of conducting material with defined surface form. The exciter is made as a non-resonant emitter consisting of a conducting flat plate lying over the screen 20 and in parallel with it; and two printed circuit boards on which there are conducting elements of the excitation system. The boards are mutually perpendicular to each other and are placed on screen 20 perpendicular to it, as well as respectively perpendicular to the flat conducting plate which is placed over these two boards. Microstrip lines form power dividers which provide equal amplitude field excitation in the gaps between the said conductors of given width.
EFFECT: proposed design of the compact circularly polarised antenna with a spread frequency band provides the required azimuthal uniformity of the directional pattern and maximum frequency band.
