FIELD: chemistry.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to a method of producing carboxylate compounds of a noble metal and solutions thereof. The noble metal is selected from a group consisting of ruthenium, iridium, platinum, palladium, rhodium and gold. The metal is melted in a peroxide of an alkali-earth metal, after which the molten mass is dissolved in carboxylic acid or carboxylic acid diluted with a protonic solvent. Alkali-earth metal ions from the obtained solution are removed in form of a salt of oxalic acid or a salt of an oxalic acid derivative.
EFFECT: carboxylate compounds of a noble metal have high catalytic efficiency and the method for production thereof is simple.
