FIELD: oil and gas industry.
SUBSTANCE: compound for isolation of water inflow and absorbing zones in a well contains clay powder, polymer, wood powder and water; as polymer, it contains polyacrylamide Praestol 2540 at the following component ratio, wt %: clay powder - 100, polyacrylamide Praestol 2540 - 0.10-0.20, wood powder - 2.0-4.0, water - 200-400. Application method of compound for isolation of water inflow and absorbing zones in a well involves preparation and pumping of the compound. First, clay suspension is prepared by mixing clay powder with water; then, polyacrylamide Praestol 2540 and wood powder is added in portions to moving clay suspension; the compounded is pumped to the well, the pumping pressure is determined; in case there is no pressure rise, gel-cement slurry is pumped additionally, and at the pressure rise, expanding grouting mortar is pumped.
EFFECT: increasing water influx isolation efficiency.
