FIELD: power industry.

SUBSTANCE: shaping method of small projections on surface of fuel rod cover of nuclear reactor involves the following stages: connection to anode by placing the fuel rod cover of the nuclear reactor onto the first electrode, and connection to cathode by placing an plate onto the second electrode; submersion of the fuel rod cover of nuclear reactor into a liquid electrolyte and application of voltage to anode and cathode respectively, thus ensuring the performance of an oxidation reaction on surface of fuel rod of nuclear reactor. Liquid electrolyte temperature is maintained at the level below 10°.

EFFECT: providing hydrophility of fuel rod cover.
