SUBSTANCE: transmitter has a first communication interface for receiving data and a timer for measuring relative time. The relative time includes time spent on operation of the transmitter. Furthermore, the transmitter has a processing system for providing the data with a relative-time timestamp and a second communication interface for outputting the relative-time time-stamped data.

EFFECT: error-free measurement of real-time timestamps without continuous power supply for long periods of time of not using sensors.
