FIELD: information technology.

SUBSTANCE: systems and methods of flowmeter control check initiation, using the flow rate computer are proposed. The flow meter control check initiation includes the following steps: supporting the flow meter installed in the pipeline and containing one or more pipes, defining the inlet and outlet through which the fluid in the pipeline flows; transmitting the flow rate control check initiation request to the flow meter using the computer. The control check includes the implementation of the vibratory action on the pipes to transmit the vibrations to it, when the product flows through the pipes; receipt from the flowmeter the diagnostic data, based on the pipes vibrations; and registration of the control check result in the flow rate computer log, determined based on the diagnostic data.

EFFECT: provision of the reliable indication of the possible failure or inadequate operation of the flow meter, without requiring any modifications in the pipeline.
