FIELD: printing industry.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to printing industry and may be used to manufacture magazines, congratulatory, executive, advertising and packaging products. The method to manufacture printed matter includes application of a metal layer onto a section of the paper medium surface, correspondent to the image fragment, and subsequent printing of the specified image, including solid printing of the metal layer on the specified section with colour dyes. The surface of the paper medium is impregnated with an antistatic before application of the metal layer, which, in its turn, prior to printing, is treated with corona discharge.

EFFECT: increased strength of metal layer adhesion with printed medium surface, improved quality of printing and production of original light effects on a printed metallised surface.
