FIELD: printing equipment.
SUBSTANCE: invention describes a method of printing on a base surface, comprising i) coating donor surface (12) with a monolayer of particles, ii) treating surface (80) of the base to render the at least selected areas sticky, and iii) contacting the base surface with the donor surface, leading to transfer of particles from the donor surface only to the sticky areas of the base surface. After printing on base (20) donor surface (12) is returned to coating application section (14), where integrity of monolayer is restored by repeated coating of donor surface areas with new particles, which are exposed when particles are transferred to base.
EFFECT: invention discloses a printing system and a printing method.
