FIELD: transport.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to method for positioning coal charger servicing units on charging holes of coke furnace where running on rails coal charger is moved over coke furnace roof and for charging furnace chambers is positioned at those places which are determined by control system and which matches charging holes in furnace roof. Then, at least one coal charger servicing unit is brought to charging holes by means of horizontal positioning movements along two axes. After each positioning of coal charger in measurement field determined by measuring method coordinates of at least one marking on furnace roof which precisely corresponds to central axis of charging hole are recorded using optical measuring method. The coordinates are compared with reference values stored for this marking in control system. Deviations between measured coordinates and stored in control system coordinates are determined for both axial directions.
EFFECT: during positioning movement of servicing unit differential values are taken into account as corrective values.
