SUBSTANCE: method to measure linen weight, according to which an operation is carried out to start an engine for actuation of a pulsator, which is in the initial stopped condition, to the maximum speed of rotation. The operation is carried out to switch off the engine, at the same time the engine continues rotating mechanically. The next start-up of the engine is carried out before the engine rotation speed makes 0. The engine is again switched off, before the speed of engine rotation reaches the maximum speed of rotation, in order to rotate the engine by inertia until it stops. The operation of engine start-up and disconnection is carried out many times. Linen weight is measured by counting the number of pulses, which indicate reverse electromotive force, which is generated, when the engine is repeatedly disconnected.

EFFECT: method increases efficiency of linen weight measurement.
