SUBSTANCE: disclosed is a washing machine and its control method. The washing machine includes a housing (10), a tank (100) mounted on the housing (10), a drum (300) installed so that to enable rotation inside the tank (100), a supplying duct (20) heating air released from the tank (100) to the preset temperature for repeated supply of heated air into the tank (100), a condensation device (170) condensing moisture across at least the preset area of the inner peripheral surface of the tank (100) due to heat exchange between the housing (10) ambient air and at least the preset area of the inner peripheral surface of the tank (100) as well as a sensor (410) measuring the quantity of condensate generated in the tank (100).
