FIELD: process engineering.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to powder metallurgy, particularly, to production of iron-carbon-based diamond-metal composite. Powder containing iron-carbon binder composed of the mix of powders is prepared consisting of 80% of wear proof powder "ПГ-ФБХ6" and 20% of stainless steel powder "ПХ18Н9Т", and natural diamond powder A7K80 500/400 added to get its 100%-content in nonporous compact. Explosive pressing is performed at explosive charge diameter of 50 mm and short-term thermal treatment is carried out for 15 min at 800°C.
EFFECT: higher wear resistance and efficiency, longer life.
