FIELD: process engineering.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to portable tool, for example, engine-driven saw chain. Proposed tool has intake appliance arranged at drive case. Said intake appliance can be connected to and detached from the tool or flexible long element, or fastener secured to long element or to tool user. Said intake appliance has intake part and connection part. Intake part serves to receive and direct flexible long element there through. Connection part allows connecting intake part to tool case by means of rotary assembly. Rotary assembly makes pivot axle to allow displacement of intake part between idle and working positions. In idle position, intake part surface is parallel with pivot axle. In working position, intake part can turn about turn axis and intake part surface is parallel with turn axis. Saw chain with top handle and rear handle arranged above saw chain case has intake appliance including hook receiver. Said intake appliance serves to connect external appliances, for example, hook with latch, to saw chain case. Intake appliance incorporates also the flexible element connector with intake and connection part. Said intake appliance is arranged at saw chain rear.

EFFECT: reduced wear of long element.
