FIELD: chemistry.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to methods of depositing coloured decorative wear- and corrosion-resistant coatings on the surface of stone-cast construction and art articles. In the method of obtaining a coloured decorative coating on a stone-cast article, involving depositing frit on the surface of the article and subsequent heat treatment, the frit used is dry powder of silicate enamel with particle size of 0.01-0.03 mm with thermal coefficient of linear expansion close to that of the material of the stone-cast article. The frit is deposited by dispersing onto the open surface of the melt immediately after pouring the melt into an open mould of the article. Subsequent heat treatment is carried out in two steps, involving cooling to 600°C at a rate of 20-30°C/h and cooling to 60°C at a rate of 45-50°C/h. The most positive effect is achieved when using as frit silicate enamels FPvBS, FPvOS, FPvTSS, FPvOYAS, FPOYAS, FPTSS (GOST R 52569-2006).
EFFECT: low labour input and power consumption of the method while improving quality of the obtained coating on stone-cast articles.
