FIELD: chemistry.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to methods of depositing coloured decorative wear- and corrosion-resistant coatings on the surface of stonecast construction and art articles. According to the method, a silicate mixture is deposited on the surface of the article, after which the article is heated at a rate of 20-30°C/h to 900-920°C, held for 10-15 min at said temperature and then cooled at a rate of 30-50°C/h. The silicate mixture used is a dry powder of silicate enamel with particle size of 0.01-0.03 mm with thermal coefficient of linear expansion close to that the stonecast article.
EFFECT: easier method and high quality of the obtained coating on stonecast articles.
