FIELD: chemistry.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to equipment for filtering highly viscous (up to 200 Pa*s) rubber solutions in a toxic and inflammable organic solvent (inflammable liquid) from clumps of gel and foreign objects. The apparatus has a sealed housing in which there is a removable filter element. The filter element is made from metal gauze and consists of a cylindrical shell open at the top, which transforms into a conical frustum with a base also made from gauze. The ratio of the height of the shell to the cone is in the range of 0.65…0.8, the clear dimension of the mesh is in the range of 1.0…3.0 mm and the ratio of the filtration area of the filter element to the cross-sectional area of the feed spout is equal to 10…12. After each operating cycle, the contaminated filter element in the apparatus is easily replaced with a clean one and the removed filter element is reused after cleaning.

EFFECT: high quality of the filtering process, efficiency and safety thereof, and easier maintenance.
