FIELD: power engineering.
SUBSTANCE: reactor core with quick-resonant spectrum of neutrons with supercritical water pressure is arranged in a shaft (11) and is separated along radius with a baffle (2) into peripheral and central subzones. In the peripheral and central subzones coolant motion is ensured accordingly top-down and bottom-up. In the reactor core jacketless fuel assemblies are used. In the peripheral subzone the pitch of fuel assemblies placement is at least 1.02 times more than the pitch of fuel assemblies placement in the central subzone. In the central subzone fuel assemblies are installed with fuel elements with MOX-fuel (7). In the peripheral subzone, apart from fuel assemblies with fuel elements with MOX-fuel (7), fuel assemblies are installed with fuel elements with MOX-fuel and minor actinides (8). Fuel elements with minor actinides (6) are installed in peripheral rows of fuel assemblies. Fuel assemblies with fuel elements with MOX-fuel and minor actinides (8) are installed in peripheral rows of the peripheral subzone and maintained in the reactor core at least for two campaigns.
EFFECT: closure of a fuel cycle and deep burning of minor actinides.
