FIELD: electrical engineering.
SUBSTANCE: switchgear (1) contains at least one input clamp (2) and at least one output clamp (3) for electric wires connection as well as the first and the second switching contacts (4) that, when closed, close the current circuit between the input clamp (2) and the output clamp (3). Envisaged in the device is a disconnector (5) for disconnection of the first switching contact and the second switching contact and a short circuit current release (7) mechanically interacting with the disconnector (5) for the latter tripping and positioned within the zone of at least one input clamp (2). The release (7) contains at least one U-shaped bracket (8) and a movable gravitating armature (9) loaded by a compression spring towards the U-shaped bracket (8). The compression spring acts in the direction (17) of the gravitating armature (9) rotation.
EFFECT: simplification of the design requiring no armature installation inside the coil.
