SUBSTANCE: inspection of virtual channel suitability is carried out by the method of channel testing with lower and higher load, in process of which they determine border values of quantitative indices of virtual data transfer channel quality for lower and higher load, calculation of permissible indices of virtual communication channel quality, control of virtual communication channel quality indices under conditions of unknown and unstable throughput capacity and availability of random losses, transmitted frames in a virtual channel. If current indices of virtual channel quality exceed permissible values, a control action is generated by selection of a rational size of a transmitted frame, selection of parameters of queue service logic in communications equipment, reset of newly arrived applications for a service.

EFFECT: inspection of suitability of a virtual communication channel for transfer of multimedia data.
