FIELD: video engineering; data transfer over telecommunication network having at least partially mobile radio link. SUBSTANCE: at least three subscriber stations 11 are intercommunicating through telecommunication network 40, in the process multimedia data being transmitted incorporate image data 22 and voice-frequency data 21 on subscribers; each of subscribers 10 receives image data on other subscribers which are reproduced at the same time on reproducing device 24. Eyes run tracking system 23 records direction of eyes of respective subscriber 10 and conveys data on position of subscriber s eyes to switching unit 20; data on subscriber images displayed in direction of eyes of respective subscriber 10 other than present-time direction are transferred over telecommunication network 40 to reduced-definition switching unit 20 or to that affording lower image transfer speed. EFFECT: enhanced compression of transferred data on video conference participating subscribers. 14 cl, 3 dwg
