FIELD: process engineering.
SUBSTANCE: proposed unit is designed to make flat gauze from 5-8 mm-dia-, 3000 mm-long- and 2500 mm-high wire. Proposed unit uses simultaneously two jigs automatically driven along welding line. Two loading stations are used. Unit includes the device for transverse and lengthwise transfer of said jig through welding zone. Roller bearings support said jig. Welding machine lower electrodes may be displaced vertically that allows welding of wires in whatever order. Unit may be readjusted for making gauzes of any sizes and spacing. Unit incorporates control system including programmable controllers and power drives built around servo droves and frequency inverters.
