FIELD: mechanical engineering; resistance spot welding.
SUBSTANCE: invention is aimed at providing assembling and welding of flat screens made up of wire bars with preset dimensions limited in length and width. Bars of wire prepared by preliminary straightening and cutting to size in length and width of flat screen are placed in jig on work table of operator. Fixing of bars in position is carried out after placing of entire set of bars forming flat screen by lock providing pressing of upper bars to lower ones in cross section points. Then jig is removed from work table, and first row of intersections of bars forming flat screen is fed to fixed lower electrodes of multielectrode spot resistance welding machine, and welding is carried out. Then jig is displaced through one pitch of flat screen bars arranged square to direction of feed, and each following row of intersections is welded until flat screen is completely welded up. Jig housing is made in form of rectangular frame whose sides are made of trough-like sections. Distance between longitudinal axes of sections of opposite sides of frame is equal to distance between axes of corresponding extreme bars of screen. Holes are made along said axis in section of each side of frame to install frame of jig with fitted in bars on stationary lower electrodes. Pitch of holes is equal to pitch of bars of flat screen in direction square to axis of section. Vertical slots are made from end face of inner flanges of section of each side of jig frame opposite to axes of holes along axis of section over diameter of fitted-in bars. Lock of bars forming flat screen is made in form of rod pressing entire set of bars forming flat screen and bent to U-shaped form, with free ends of parallel sides of lock being hinge mounted in eye. Flexible member is installed on parallel sides of lock rod, at least, over each upper bar of screen assembled in jig when lock is in working position.
EFFECT: provision of high accuracy of geometric parameters of ready-made screens, increased productivity in manufacture of flat screens.
