FIELD: process engineering.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to abrasives and may be used for grinding and finishing. Abrasive article comprises substrate with macro porous structure and coating made thereon. Note here that said coating comprises binder and abrasive aggregates composed by composition of abrasive grains and nanoparticles-based binder while said coating is, at least, partially, embedded into said substrate. Proposed method comprises combining abrasive aggregates and nanoparticle-base binder with resinous binder to obtain suspension. Said suspension is applied on macro porous substrate to impregnate it, at least, partially. Resin is, then, cured to bond aggregate grains with substrate.
EFFECT: higher smoothness, longer life.
