FIELD: chemistry.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to use of a lubrication oil composition, having viscosity index (VI, according to ASTM D2270) of at least 190, which contains base oil and one or more additives viscosity index enhancing additives, for reducing power consumption in hydraulic systems by reducing the load hoisting time in a hoisting device with a hydraulic drive. The method is realised using the lubrication oil composition and a lubrication oil composition which contains 50-90 wt % base oil and 10-35 wt % of one or more VI enhancing additives. The lubrication oil composition has viscosity index (VI, according to ASTM D2270) of at least 190 and the base oil is group V naphthene base oil.

EFFECT: reducing power consumption in a hydraulic system by reducing the load hoisting time in a hoisting device with a hydraulic drive.
