FIELD: physics.

SUBSTANCE: light-emitting diode lamp has a hollow, spherical thin-walled body made of dielectric material and coated with a light-reflecting surface. Sockets for fitting light-emitting diodes lie on the light-reflecting surface and are linked by conductors to a power supply built into a base with a screw surface. The thin-walled body with the base is longitudinally divided into two equal parts which can be connected, the inner surface of each part of the body being in form of a curvilinear printed-circuit board on which conductors and electric contacts are deposited. A cut is made in each part of the base to hold the power supply. Electric contacts of the printed-circuit board of each part of the thin-walled body are electrically connected through the power supply to the lateral and central electric contacts of the base. The lateral electric contact is in form of a metal ring screwed onto the screw surface of the base. The outer surface of the ring is smooth or screwed. The central electric contact is in form of a thin-walled metal head. The head has the shape of a polygon. Each part of the body has at least one semi-circular protrusion for connecting parts with a common cap. The protrusion and cap have a screw surface.
