FIELD: radio engineering, communication.
SUBSTANCE: data are sent from a handover source base station to a mobile station notifying that transference of packets has been executed during execution of handover sequence if the handover source base station transfers to the target handover base station packets which were not sent to the mobile station, from packets received from a host station, and the target handover base station sends packets to the mobile station. The mobile station reorders the received packets if transference of packets has been executed.
EFFECT: reduced communication delay and high capacity of the network during handover.
