FIELD: agriculture.
SUBSTANCE: method includes preliminary preparation of seeds and their soaking in activated water. At that the seeds taken from the fruit of pumpkin are immersed in water at a temperature of +20…+25°C and exposed at periodic stirring until floating up of lightweight seeds and their removal. The remaining filled seeds are dried to a normal amount of moisture 13…14%, stored in a sack tare till the spring period. 3 days prior to sowing the seeds are soaked in the anolyte - electroactivated water with a redox potential of +700…+800 mV for 0.25…0.5 hours at a temperature of +20…+25C°. The anolyte-treated seeds are dried with active ventilation for 1…2 hours at a temperature of +20…+25°C. Then the seeds are soaked in the catholyte - electroactivated water with a redox potential of -500…-600 mV for 1…2 hours at a temperature of +20…+25°C. The seeds are placed on the canvas soaked with catholyte for germination. In appearance of shoots of 1…2 mm length, the germinated seeds are immersed in the catholyte solution with a redox potential of -500-600 mV. Sowing of seeds is carried out with catholyte by the sowing unit that eliminates damage to shoots.
EFFECT: invention enables to improve germinating ability of seeds, to reduce their rate and to improve productivity of pumpkin fruits.
