FIELD: chemistry.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to an apparatus and a method of treating flue gas, which is based on use of a solvent and is intended for extracting CO2 from a stream of flue gas. A catalyst is provided in order to increase efficiency of the solvent in trapping CO2 from the stream of flue gas or in terms of regenerating said solvent.
EFFECT: invention enables to increase efficiency of trapping carbon dioxide and efficiently regenerate the solvent which contains the catalyst used to trap carbon dioxide.
