SUBSTANCE: invention relates to methods of removing acid compounds from gaseous effluent stream. Invention can be used for treatment of industrial gas or natural gas. Method for using an absorbent solution for removing acid compounds contained in a gaseous effluent stream, includes a stage of acid compounds absorption. This stage is carried out by bringing gaseous effluent flow into contact with absorbing solution. Solution contains water and one nitrogen compound.

EFFECT: invention increases efficiency of removing acidic compounds, specifically selective removal of H2S relative to CO2, and possibility of functioning at minimum operating costs (for regeneration energy) and with minimum capital investments (for construction of absorption column).
