FIELD: chemistry.

SUBSTANCE: method of producing calcium fluoride involves treating a clarified gas cleaning solution from electrolytic production of aluminium with calcium hydroxide, separating the solution and the pulp and then extracting calcium fluoride. Calcium hydroxide is taken for treatment in ratio of (1.8-2.1):1 to content of fluorine in the solution. Treatment is carried out at temperature of the treated fluorine-containing solution of 40-55°C. After treatment, the obtained calcium fluoride is washed with water at temperature of 80-90°C for 20-40 minutes.

EFFECT: invention reduces irrecoverable loss of fluorine while obtaining a secondary fluorine-containing product of calcium fluoride.
