SUBSTANCE: variator rolling discs are installed for rotation around a shaft (16) of the variator. The transmission has an intermediate shaft (18), distant in the cross section from the variator shaft. It has two planetary toothed gears. The separating planetary toothed gear (14) has an inlet element driven from the inlet (10) of the transmission, and two output elements accordingly for driving the intermediate shaft and the variator shaft. The recirculating planetary toothed gear has the first and second input elements for connection accordingly to the variator shaft and to the intermediate shaft, and the recirculating output element. There is a clutch for selective switching-on of any of three modes. At the first mode of operation the recirculating output element drives the transmission output. At another one - the intermediate shaft drives the transmission output. At the third one - the variator shaft drives the transmission output. The variator shaft is coaxial with the transmission output, the recirculating planetary toothed gear, the first connection, between the recirculating output element and the transmission output, and the second connection, between the variator shaft and the transmission output.
EFFECT: compactness and unification, for additional mode of transmission operation.
