FIELD: machine building.
SUBSTANCE: stepless transmission has transmission inlet (60) and transmission outlet (114). Transmission has variator (56). In addition, it includes planetary gear structure (58) that includes connecting device (152). Planetary gear structure has three rotating elements. One of them is connected to carrier (86) of planetary row, which has one satellite (94) of planetary gear. The other rotating element is connected to main gear wheel (90) engaged with the satellite of planetary gear. The connecting device serves for connection of the rest rotating element to any of the first and the second alternative gear wheels (96, 98), both of which are engaged with the satellite of planetary gear and which rotate at different speeds. One of the rotating elements is connected to the transmission inlet with constant transmission ratio. The other one is connected to the variator outlet. The latter of the rotating elements is connected to the transmission outlet. Transmission can be changed by means of the connecting device between the first and the second ranges of transmission ratios.
EFFECT: increasing the efficiency.
